Bill Rhoades, one of the most beloved Blues harmonica players in our region,
host of his own Blues Show on KBOO radio, and leader of his own band, The
Party Kings recently underwent abdominal surgery (which was very successful)
that requires he be out of work for at least 6 weeks. This follows his wife
Cindy’s broken leg last year when she was out of work for weeks, so the
finances are looking bleak. Neither
have any disability insurance to cover time off work.
To help out, Bill’s friends have offered to play a benefit to help
raise money to assist him with his expenses.
On Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the
Cascade Bar & Grill, an all star lineup of many of the area’s best known
artists will perform a full evening of entertainment.
The following artists are confirmed for the show and other NW artists are
sure to be added.
Special
guest appearance by Curtis Salgado
Duffy Bishop and Chris
Carlson
Strange Tones
Paul DeLay
Linda Hornbuckle
Lloyd Jones
Jim Mesi
